An easy no cook recipe for any age. My toddler adores bananas, so I always peel and put over-ripe ones in the freezer for cooking, smoothies, or to enjoy like this. He especially enjoys them when he's teething or has a sore throat.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 banana

Method

  1. Peel ripe or over-ripe bananas and freeze in a plastic bag.
  2. Slice in thin pieces with a sharp knife
  3. Eat and enjoy!

Notes

There are ways to make this fancier such as dipping the banana in coconut, or putting them on popsicle sticks, but we have them just like this. Sorry, this photo is from winter, but I thought it would give you the idea.

  • My bigger kids will like this too. Thanks.

  • Our kids love frozen banana slices and it’s a great way to save your bananas before they’re no good.

  • What a great idea. Just wondering if it’s safe for teeth though. Would the bananas freeze super hard?
