The easiest way to make tasty delicious jam.

Ingredients (makes 2 cups)

  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • squeeze lemon

Method

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for 5 minutes on high.
  3. Stir. Microwave for another 5 minutes on high.
  4. Cool.
  5. Spoon into sterilized jars.

Notes

We get a lot of berries and this way I can make the jam as each little batch ripens and is ready. It is quick and easy and the jam comes out very tasty. You can also experiment with lowering the sugar if you prefer.

  • I love making jam with fruit from our garden, but it’s a real chore sometime with a big stock pot of jam on the stove top. Never thought to try and make jam in the microwave. Will have to give it a go when our strawberries are producing.
