This is the easiest soup to make and it taste great. Grab a French stick and cut that up into slices and dip into the soup for dinner . My kids love this soup and it’s one of my favourites to cook in Winter.

Ingredients (serves 6)

  • 500g diced ham
  • 3 parsnips
  • 2 swedes
  • 4 sticks celery
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pkts yellow split peas
  • 3 vegetable stock cubes
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 1.5 L water

Method

  1. Cut all the vegetables up and place in the Philips All-In-One Cooker with the washed split peas.
  2. Add stock, ham and water.
  3. Cook on pressure cooker for 45 mins. Enjoy!

  • I don’t know why but as a soup lover this is my least favourite soup. I will have it if no choice , but it must be the mashed peas that I’ve never been accustomed to. Yet every person that I have come across have said they love pea and ham . Just don’t know .

  • I don’t have a pressure cooker, but I guess I could reduce half the liquid and use my slow cooker
