A sausage roll with a bit of heat. Just in time for Australia Day
Ingredients (serves 6 | makes 24 Sausage rolls)
- 500gms Sausage mince
- 1 carrot Grated
- 1 onion Finely chopped
- 4 big Mushrooms, finely chopped
- 3 heaped tsps Chilli sauce
- Salt and pepper To taste
- 3 sheets Frozen puff pastry
Method
- Mix all ingredients together, except the pastry
- Defrost the pastry and cut in half
- Divide mixture into 1/4s. Place a 1/4 along the length of each pastry sheet, in the middle.
- Careful roll up and cut into portions
- Place on greased oven tray. Cook in a preheated oven at 220*C for 15 mins. Reduce heat to 190*C and cook a further 15-20 mins until nicely browned
