Yummy steamed fish for dinner.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 Butter fish
  • 2 tbs Water
  • 1 tbs Light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbs Ginger paste
  • 1 stalk Spring onion, shredded
  • 1/4 tbs Sesame oil
  • A pinch of pepper

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a steaming plate, mix well.
  2. Steam over high heat for about 10 minutes ( start to steam it when water is boiled).
  3. Serve hot with steam rice.

  • Okay, I’ve got to admit that the serving suggestion above would freak me out completely. I do not like the look of fish very much – I like eating fish, mind you, it just has to be cooked so it doesn’t look so… fish- like. I know it’s weird, but then most phobias are.

  • Excuse my ignorance but what is a steaming plate? As a alternative could it be wrapped in foil and placed in the top part of a steamer saucepan?
