An old style smoothie using basic fruit that will see you through until lunch!
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 1 banana
- 4-6 strawberries (remove tops)
- 1-2 cups milk (depending on how thick you want it)
Method
- Throw the banana and strawberries into a blender.
- Add the milk. Add honey or yogurt if you wish.
- Blend, serve and slurp.
Notes
Before the 'on the go' breakfast bars and primas there was the smoothie. Endlessly adaptable to use fruit you have on hand and great for kids who won't eat breakfast. You can use any type of milk (soy, rice, almond) and any types of fruit (strawberry, banana, mango, berries, pear). You can also add chia seeds if you wish.
