Ingredients (makes 16 slices)

  • 4 Weet-Bix, crushed
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbs cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 70g butter/margarine
  • 1/4 cup water
  • icing sugar and milk

Method

  1. Melt margarine/butter and mix into crushed Weet-Bix
  2. Add remaining ingredients and press into a greased/lined tin
  3. Bake 15 minutes at 180ºC
  4. Combine icing sugar with milk, adding just enough milk to create a thick paste. The slice may be iced while warm

Notes

You can sprinkle coconut or 100s & 1000s on top for an extra delicious treat! You could add cocoa powder to the icing to make chocolate icing

  • yeah this is a really good use for extra weet-bix because if you buy these a lot and especially the big box, the kids can get bored with eating them

  • Yes this one has much less butter than the recipe I used, less of everything actually.
For the icing you can add in a small amount of cocoa powder to make it chocolate icing.
