Quick and easy yoghurt loaf for the whole family :)

Ingredients (makes 1 Big loaf)

  • 150g Vanilla flavour yoghurt (keep the carton!)
  • 1 carton Cooking oil
  • 2 cartons Caster sugar
  • 3 cartons SR flour
  • 3 Beaten eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients until creamy. Pour into a greased loaf tin.
  2. Bake for about 90 min at 150 - 160 degrees C.

Notes

VERY easy and yum! Your little one can help out :)

  • What an interesting recipe! Seems quite old school using the carton to measure out all the ingredients. It’s unusual to use a flavoured yoghurt too. I’ve done a different loaf that used Greek yoghurt. Yoghurt cakes or loafs do tend to make some of the most moist, delicious cakes you can have!

  • I don’t think I’ve used yoghurt in a cake before. I’ll give this a try.

  • Looks delicious and moist, but not sure about the amount of oil …….

  • That’s a lot of sugar and oil. Will still try it though as it’s very simple to make.

  • I love that it is a no mess kind of recipe, but that does seem like a ton of oil compared to everything else. It looks good though in the picture. Thank you for sharing
