The best thing is that I can use it for my face as well, as part of my nightly moisturising ritual. It’s very easily absorbed into the skin and left no oily residue, although it’s texture is thick. I can feel that my skin stays soft long after I put it on. It feels more like a cream instead of a lotion. Really suitable for the whole family, young and old.   • Gentle on my Eczema prone skin

    I’ve been using Dermaveen exclusively for 2 weeks now and my skin is feeling much better than it has all winter. I was having an eczema flare up when the lotion arrived and used it tentatively as most lotions irritate my skin at the best of times. Dermaveen has proven hydrating enough to fix the cracks caused by eczema on my hands and also has calmed the flare up, lessening the redness and getting rid of the itching.   • Nice and thick lotion

    The DermaVeen Extra Hydration Intensive Moisturising Lotion has a very luxurious feeling texture and is thicker than what I was using previously, meaning it really helps my dry skin during these winter months.

    A little goes a long way and is easily absorbed. It is fragrance free which is ideal before bed, as I don’t like smelling product on me after I’m clean.

    This has been so good for my skin and has even helped to reduce dry bumps I get on the back of my arms. I’ll definitely be purchasing this again!

    The DermaVeen extra hydration Intensive Moisturzing Lotion is very hydrating and great for the dry winter we have had. I found it to be suitable for the entire family with no reactions or irritation. It’s not oily or greasy and is one of very few moisturisers. I have left on and not wipes away due to it not being greasy. It has no fragrant smell left behind so is easy to use in pairing with your favourite body sprays or perfume without interference of smells clashing.
    Made in Australia and no hidden nasties. A product I can be confident using on my baby, toddler and myself. Also vegan friendly a huge plus for allergy homes like mine.

    Both my daughter and myself suffer from eczema-prone skin, both of us can not use just any moisturiser or body wash, we have to be very selective when choosing what product to apply.     DermaVeen Extra Hydration Wash and intensive moisturiser lotion are an absolute game changer for those who suffer from eczema! My 3 children and I are all long time sufferers of eczema and our skin have all improved incredibly from using these products! We are all able to sleep much better without itching all night and our skin feels soft and hydrated. A friend of mine went to see a skin specialist who prescribed her some eczema cream. She said that the cream hadn’t helped her at all and she was going yo try going off dairy to see if that helped. I recommended Dermaveen to her and she said “Sarah you could have saved me $200!!     My legs especially have been feeling the winter blues by being dry and unsightly. DermaVeen Intense Moisturising Lotion provided immediate results. Goodbye dry, scaly legs.   • WOW lotion with oatmeal - love

    Thank you very much to Dermaveen and MoM for the opportunity to trial and review the Dermaveen Extra Hydration Intensive Body Lotion. This product really suprised me – absolutely love the oatmeal scent to start off with (smells like the oat milk in my coffee) – also love that it has a medium consistency but actually really hydrating for my skin without the greasy feeling.

Summer beach and pool days are core childhood memory creators, but getting the kids out the door, not so much! From wrestling wriggly toddlers into rashies to arguing with teens trying to dodge sunscreen and cramming half the house into the car, the exhaustion can kick in before we’ve even set foot on the sand!

But there are some very clever tips that will make even the most stressful summer days smooth sailing – and the Mouths of Mums community know them all! Which is why we asked our mums for their hints, hacks and tips – from sand removal to stress-free sunscreen application (we’re going to introduce you to the fabulous new Banana Boat SmartMist Sunscreen Sprays that will make your life so much easier). 

You’ll want to take note before you next hit the beach or pool!

Pack Smart, Not Big

Do you feel like you take waaayyy too much when you head to the beach or pool, and then you seem to forget a couple of key things that would have made life so much easier?

Our Mouths of Mums community swear by this fab list of essentials which should be in every mum’s beach kit, and

  • A plastic bag for wet towels and bathers
  • A dry bag for clothes
  • A bucket or basin to wash off sandy toys
  • A ‘clean zone’, sand-free blanket or mat for eating and changing
  • A pop-up tent for changing
  • Waterproof phone case
  • Talcum powder to get sticky, wet sand off little feet. Just pop it on and brush it off – it’s magic!
  • A hand-held car vac for quick sand cleanups!

Get Safety Sorted Before The Fun Starts

It’s pretty hard to get the kids’ attention once you’re at the beach or pool, so the safety talk should really start at home. Our mums recommend chatting to the kids about:

  • Swimming between the flags at the beach
  • Setting a meeting spot in case anyone gets separated
  • Sunscreen: Always apply sunscreen 20 minutes before heading outdoors. And set alarms to reapply every two hours throughout the day. Reapply immediately after swimming or using a towel.

Pack Smart Snacks

Snacks are a must, but it can be tricky to know what’s going to survive a hot, Aussie summer day – and what’s good for hungry tummies. Here’s what our mums recommend:

  • Chopped fruit
  • Crackers
  • Boiled eggs
  • Drink bottles that have been frozen overnight

“We have a few allergies/intolerances, so being prepared with food is helpful and saves us the search and some money. I pre-chop carrots, cucumber, apples, boiled egg, in a handy separating container, a packet of chips, dip, and bring water bottles.
