MURINE® Eye Mist is a mist that’s sprayed onto closed eye lids for the relief of tired and dry eyes. It is suitable for use with contact lenses and makeup. Simply pop it in your handbag and you’re covered wherever you go.

MURINE® Eye Mist is a preservative-free eye spray that gently moisturises and refreshes dry and tired eyes caused by air conditioned or windy environments, extended computer work, ageing, wearing contact lenses, long distance travel and medication.

MURINE® Eye Mist applies liposomes particles onto the closed eyelids that work to refresh and maintain the natural moisture in and around the eye. It’s as easy as 1, 2 and spray … that’s it.

How to use MURINE® Eye Mist
1. Hold spray 10 cm away from the eye.
2. Close eyes and spray directly onto each eyelid 1 to 2 times.
3. Keep eyes closed for 4 to 5 seconds (this allows the liposome particles to spread onto the surface of the eyes).
4. Use the product 3 or 4 times a day. Product can be used until the expiry date.

  • Fantastic, where has this been all my life

    This stuff is amazing! I ware contact lenses for 15 hours of the day easily and I know that horrid dry eye feeling and the feeling of having something stuck in the contact lenses. This is amazing for keeping eyes fresh or refreshed and getting that irritation away! I hate that feeling right after when your eyes are sore after taking contacts out or if ya get something in your eye or even coz it's just been a long day and your eyes are sore. This spray helps so much I use it anytime I want but I use it after I take my contacts out at the end of the day and it's just so refreshing.

  • Great product for itchy eyes

    I love the convenience and the fact I don’t have to put drops in my eyes when the irritating eye itching starts!! I suffer from bad hey fever and I’m forever having to run and grab my eye drops but with this easy to use mist it’s become a game changer I just spray and the itch goes away!! I highly recommend and give it a 10/10.

    It definitely took away any soreness and irritation that I had and it’s so handy to just chuck in my bag and take it anywhere with me at anytime. It was amazing when I had allergies flare up it took my sore eyes away straight away for me with no issues

  • Best Eye Refresher and so Convenient

    I love Murine Eye Mist as it is so easy to use. I carry mine around in my handbag and can just refresh my dry tired eyes anywhere and at any time (except when driving of course!)

    As your eyes do not need to be open to use effectively you can very easily complete the task yourself which is by far the most innovative design ever invented for eye drops.

    If I have been working on the computer or watching television and my eyes start to get dry and irritable, one spray on each eye leaves me feeling bright-eyed and bushy-tailed plus very much wide awake. It is reasonably priced and just the thing for the Mum on the Go. ;)

  • It really works on my tired eyes.

    I really felt much more awake after spraying on closed eyelids. I use while wearing my contact lenses and there’s no irritation at all. I have very sensitive eyes and they usually always sting but I didn’t notice any reaction or sensitive eyes with Murine eye mist.

  • Fabulous product

    I had doubts but a few weeks and it’s honestly a lifesaver! Spray onto the eyelids and I instantly got relief from my tired eyes I forgot to wear my glasses and it moisturised the eyes and took the pain away and the heaviness it’s fantastic definately recommend

  • Love this!!

    The Murine eye mist has become my favourite so quickly! I wear contact lenses and know that dry eye feeling really well. This fixes exactly that. Just one spray each on closed eyelids and I feel refreshed and awake. I also love how you can use it on makeup (I tried it on non waterproof make up and it didn’t budge) and take it anywhere. Definitely recommend this to contact lens wearers.

  • A shift workers best friend

    Having tired eyes goes hand in hand with being a shift worker so this product worked great! Didn’t affect my makeup. Felt refreshed and soothed. Will be using again!

  • Recommend for anyone with dry, tired eyes

    I am so pleased to have been selected to review the Murine Eye Mist! Why? Because it has been so good for my eyes which get dry and tired. It’s super easy to use, no need to worry about accidentally blinking while trying to put eye drops in, unlike traditional eye drops. I have been able to use this at home, at work and while out and about. I haven’t had to worry about using it while wearing makeup at work either - it works just fine and doesn’t streak or make anything run. I also wear contact lenses and the Murine Eye Mist was so refreshing to use while wearing them too.

    I would highly recommend Murine Eye Mist for anyone who has difficulty using traditional eye drops, as you spray your eyelids while your eyes are closed - so easy!

    I have always suffered with dry and irritated eyes. Sometimes it’s due to chronic sinusitis issues and others it’s a lack of adequate blinking and general eye fatigue. I’ve always actively used traditional dropper eye drops, that is until a friend recommended the Murine Eye Mist. What an absolute game-changer! No more fiddling around with a lid, no more worrying about cross-contamination, what an innovative product.     I have always loved murine products. I am even more happy with this being preservative free. It makes me feel safer, which is important when dealing g with something as essential and delicate as your eyes. I love that it is easy to use, it always works well and is convenient to just pop in your purse and have on hand. I keep one in my desk at work too for days when the computer screen is wreaking havoc on my eyes.

    I have had dry eyes since I had cataract surgery & I was told to use drops which I had difficulty using, but I saw an advertisement for Murine Eye mist & I haven't looked back, it is so easy to spray on my closed eye & it can be used even with eye makeup in place.

    Murine eye mist is really easy to use and has been a wonderful addition to my handbag, especially for use at work, the air conditioned workplace really dries out my eyes and this takes me 10 seconds to use and quickly moisturises my eyes.     I suffer from dehydration due to medications and I hate wearing glasses so I prefer my contact lenses, but my eyes can get tired and dry. With Murine eye mist, I just spray and im back to normal. I keep one in my bag and one on my beauty cabinet. It also doesn't effect my make up.

  • So easy to use

    I wear contact lenses, and my eyes often become dry and irritated after about 7 hours of use,no matter the brand of lenses I'll use. I often carry around a lite bottle of eye drops but find it difficult having to use eye drops when out and about. To be able to spray over the eyelids is so much quicker and easier, AND you can't miss!!! Works well at keeping my eyes and lens moisturised. Would definitely use again

    I suffer terribly with dry eyes, no matter what time of the year it is. But winter seems to be worse, I suppose that is because we have the fires and/or heaters going, which dry out the air. With a few simple sprays, it is amazing how moisture is regained within the eyes. Hayfever can also be terrible for drying eyes too, which I suffer terribly in spring. So handy, can keep in your handbag.

  • Great post night duty

    I forgot work and often my eye's suffer. When I am on night duty I find my server tierd And dry this product is a good send post night duty and helps with dryness and also tired eyes.i have tried many products this works the best would recommend it highly to anybody.

    Loveeeed this.. Especially after wearing makeup all day.. My eyes are not the best so they get dry and ichy really throughout the day.. Wearing this after a day wearing makeup brings my eyes back to life without them feeling so irritated. Love thisss.

“My Floor Has Never Been So Clean”: The Mop That’s Winning Over Mums

Mopping isn’t exactly the chore most of us look forward to, but like most mums, for Katrina Macilroy, it’s unavoidable.

With three teenagers, a husband, a dog, two cats and timber flooring throughout most of her home, there’s plenty to keep her mop busy.

“I thought the toddler stage was hard, but teenagers take it to a whole other level,” Katrina told Mouths of Mums.

She describes herself as a ‘full-time Uber driver’ for her three kids, but when she’s home, she may as well be a full-time cleaner.

Her husband is a concreter, the family has plenty of sand coming inside and, with teenagers touching everything, the floors quickly show the evidence of a full family life.

“I have to mop like every second day because the floor gets marks,” she said.

So when Katrina was given the chance to try the Vileda Easy Wring & Clean TURBO Mop & Bucket Set, she was keen to see whether it could actually make one of her least favourite cleaning tasks any easier.

“I didn’t have high hopes for it to start with, because I’ve used spin mops before and I’d been disappointed,” she admitted.

But it didn’t take long for her to change her mind. One of the first things Katrina noticed was just how easy the mop was to use.

The foot pedal made wringing the mop quick and simple, without having to stop and fiddle with anything.

“It was so easy to spin it,” she says. “It wasn’t like you’re spinning it for hours or anything.”

She was also impressed by how quickly the mop itself could be put together, and the simple button that releases the mop head for washing.

“That simple press notion, everyone can do that. So I love that.”

It’s The Little Things That Add Up

For Katrina, who regularly finds herself cleaning up after a busy family, these little details made a surprisingly big difference. She also loved the triangular mop head, particularly when it came to getting into the corners and edges that her previous mop struggled with.

“The triangle design makes it easy to get into all the little corners,” she says.

But ultimately, the big question was whether it actually cleaned her floors. Katrina’s answer was an enthusiastic yes.

“My floor has never been so clean,” she says.

Katrina was also surprised by how light and manoeuvrable the mop felt, because at just 4’11”, she says mopping can sometimes be an uncomfortable job.

“I’m not a tall person, so trying to mop is always just a horrible experience.”

And it wasn’t just the mop itself that won Katrina over. She says the bucket design solved one of her biggest mopping frustrations: accidentally tipping the bucket over.

With timber floors, getting too much water onto the floor is something she tries hard to avoid. “The amount of mop buckets I’ve tipped over and just gone everywhere,” she says.

That can turn a simple cleaning job into another mess to deal with, particularly when you’re suddenly scrambling for towels and a dry mop head.

And for someone who mops as often as she does, she says that has saved her time. “This thing has saved me so much time, I can’t get over it.”

Katrina also admits that she’d previously convinced herself she needed a steam mop. She even bought one, only to discover that plugging it in every time she wanted to clean wasn’t exactly appealing.

“You have to plug it in like a vacuum. Like, that’s not fun, I don’t want to do that.”

After trying the Vileda, she says she’s no longer convinced she needs one.

“Why do you need a steam mop when you can get this one?”

For Katrina, the combination of being lightweight, easy to wring, simple to manoeuvre and able to get into those awkward corners has made mopping feel much less frustrating. And despite going into the trial with low expectations, she’s now very happy to recommend it.

  • Yes, I couldn’t agree more. The Vileda spin mop is by far my favourite mop for a good thorough clean at home. I even got the landlords to purchase one for the holiday house I clean to make cleaning a breeze and get the job done properly. I always grab a spare when they’re out for half price.

  • Ah, I received a ‘you’re a finalist’ email from MoM for this fantastic mop but didn’t receive anything beyond that. I was looking forward to giving this a try to compare the three existing options I have but alas. Looks good, fingers crossed I can try it in the near future!

  • Omg! Yes! With 4 dogs and 4 teens AND the guests they bring home with them LOL our timber floors and tiles don’t stand a chance! I would love to see them add some wheels to the bottom of the bucket so that you don’t have to carry the bucket around with you.

  • This sounds like an excellent mop that makes cleaning so easy! I love a product that not only is as effective as advertised but makes a job less grueling. I gotta say though, a steam mop that plugs in sounds like an awful idea. I have a tineco floor mop, which is cordless and charges at a base, and it’s incredible on my white tiles.
