  • Great for the price!

We use these and have for over a year…they are a great price and work well….I find for stubborn mess they don’t work as well. They don’t leave the dishes smelling nice but that is not essential for clean dishes…the key is hot water!

  • Can't fault it - as good as everything else but slightly cheaper.

So I tried these as the were on special so a lot cheaper the the brand I usually buy and found them to be comparitively the same besides the price. They cleaned as well, smelt fine, probably easier to deal with actually as they have a dissolving wrapper. I would buy again and recommend – nothing to fault from my point.

  • Just as good as Finish

I liked that Woolies brought out a dishwashing tablet that is as good as the “Finish” brand and so much cheaper. I found they cleaned my dishes and left my dishwasher smelling nice and clean. I will be buying these again instead of the more expensive brand. Well done woolworths!

  • For myriad of reasons, my package arrived late, my fault as my address wasnt fully updated. Anyways, went to Melbourne for a visit with family and when i got back three days back, the package was sitting beautifully on my doorstep. Very eagerly i unwrapped it, and the first thing i noticed was the nice lemon scent plus plenty samples for me to give friends. I used it for the dishes next day and the result was so good plus my dishwasher no longer had a musky smell. Would definitely be buying this when the time comes and would recommend to others also. Thank you Mouths of Mums team and thanks you Select Woolworths team

  • I have been very happy with these dishwashing tablets. I have always used the liquid but have found the tablets better. They have left no residue and a pleasant lemon scent. The dissolvable wrapper has also been convenient. I have been so impressed that I have purchased more this week as they are currently on sale.

  • We have been using these for about a week now and I cannot fault them. They clean just the same as the the expensive brand I buy normally. It says to rinse plates etc before putting them in the dishwasher but I have not really found the need to and the tablets still wash everything well. My clean dishes seem to dry a lot better too – no more opening the dishwasher to plates that still have water on them. I gave the sample packets out to my friends when I had them over for morning tea – I can’t wait to hear how they found them as some of them use bore water in their homes so they may perform differently. So far so good. I will definitely buy these again (and save myself some money!).

  • Good value

The quality of Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets is very good. In my opinion, it is of high quality.
For a cheaper dishwasher tablet, I think it represents good value for money. It’s pricing is usually cheaper than other brands, unless their is something on special.
I started using Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets because I was getting a lime scale build up from the previous brand I was using. Compared to the other brand, Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets has rectified this problem.
I find Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets performs very well, the only occasional problem is baked on food not being cleaned but, in saying that, I do only use the Eco program on a normal wash.

  • A great product, give it a go.

I have tried a great variety of dishwasher tablets, powders, rinse aids, etc etc, almost every one on the market. I had a second hand dishwasher for awhile but it died on me, so as we were doing up our kitchen I decided to buy a brand new dishwasher.

Once I bought the dishwasher, I wanted to make sure I bought the right cleaners to use, I didn’t want the same thing to happen as my last one. Once I tried The Woolworths Brand All in One I surprisingly found it did the job just as well, if not better than the dearer brands. I was pleasantly surprised. The cost was good, as was the product. I tried it with the heavier load as well as with the glasses and plates.

The glasses came out clean and shiny, which I expect from a good cleaner, the plates were squeaky clean. I was really impressed with the price too. The more you buy in a pack the cheaper it is per wash. It is an idea to take a calculator to the supermarket, calculate the cost per wash. You check three or four, and you will find the Woolworths All In One is a great price.

When you purchase a dishwasher for the first time. Have a look at the water savings scale, and whether you use cold water and the machine heats it up, or it uses hot water. It amazed me what was involved.

But, ultimately I give Woolworths All in One Dishwasher tablets a 4.5 score overall. I am really impressed.

  • Value for money

I started using Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets because the cleaner I was using was beginning to leave a build of lime scale. Swapping brands, solved this problem and for the price you pay, you do get value for money. The dishes are clean and there is no overwhelming fragrance. Occasionally, caked on food may be left but overall I think this is a minor inconveniences.

  • A reliable performer

I use Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets on a regular bases and have found them to give a reliable clean most times. The only times Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets haven’t performed is if the food is baked onto the dish. Before using this product, I was experiencing a build up of lime which has now since be resolved. Not sure why others are having problems.

  • not what i thought

I got a sample before i bought the packaging. Not happy with them as it doesn’t clean a full load but half. Im now using home brand powder box which cost $2.50 i think for 1kg box. It cleans better than the select ones.

  • cheap and best dishwasher tablet

I started buying this dishwasher tablet from Woolworth 1 year ago, It is good and it cleans the dishes good, the price is really cheap and quality is also better . I would recommend it for others as well, but I don’t use if for very high load, i use it just for half load or few dishes there, If you are going to use for full load i would recommend you all to use 2 tablets, it performance is better only if it is 2 and then foam would be formed better. Better quality and better price as well.

  • Mmmmm

Would love to say that there has been a cheaper priced product but on the market with still a good quality product, not the case here. When it comes to the crunch cleanliness is nothing to have poor quality involved with. This just did not make me feel comfortable or confident that any of plates, cutlery, etc are clean enough to reuse

  • not good

When I first got a dishwasher I got these as were cheaper, after using them my dishes were still dirty had food on them. I thought it was the dishwasher and it didn’t work properly, so didn’t use dishwasher for months then got some sample finish tablets and thought I’d give it a go, it worked perfect. Missed out on using x shwasher for months due to these tablets being a big fail. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t buy again. If I wanted to hand wash My dishes I would do it in. The first place.

  • My go to dishwasher product

Woolworths Select All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets are my go to dishwasher cleaning product. The only time I deviate and buy something different, is if there is another brand on sale that is cheaper. My dishes come out clean with the only occassional baked on stain left, and that’s probably me being a little bit lazy and not bothering to clean it off before washing.

  • Good for light loads

I have used these and Finish Quantum for a few months now.

For the price, the Woolworths ones do a good job on cleaning dishes, but found they don’t always get everything clean…especially if it’s baked on. I tend to use these if it’s just rinsed crockery, cutlery and glasses and leave my heavy duty cleaning to Finish.

They certainly help stretch the Finish ones out, so I’m not complaining.

  • Great value for money, with good cleaning results

I love the finish Quantum tables, but find them very expensive. I recently tried the Woolworth all in one and found them to do a good job. Some items I have found needed a re-washing and I have been using a dishwasher cleaner a bit more regularly but compared to the price of the finish tablets the Woolworth’s all in one are a good alternative.

  • Value for money

I usually use Finish and I have to be honest and say that it is my preferred. I used the select brand to trial it as finish is a little expensive and it does the trick however I found that the plastic dissolvable covering got stuck to the holder and didn’t allow all of the detergent to go through the machine. That only happened twice though. Also I found that it does clean everything but I found done residue on my glass cups. I do believe it is good value got money though and would recommend it but my favorite is still finish.

  • Clean dishes at an affordable price

Woolworths select all in 1 dishwasher tablets get the job done. Compared to other brands of tablets, I think they represent good value for money. Dishes come out clean, and it is only the baked on food that may require attention. The tablets have no fragrance but I don’t considered that to be an important factor. Clean dishes at an affordable price and standard, that’s all I’m concerned about.

  • Surprisingly Good Quality

I have to admit I have generally only ever used finish or other brand names when it comes to dish washing tablets. However a few months ago while I was shopping I noticed that the select all in one tablets were on sale so I decided to give them a go. I have not looked back. They work just as good if not better than any other brand and just as important the price is much better. Great quality and Great price.

Whether you’re a seasoned or first-time mum, protecting your baby’s delicate skin is right up there on the priorities list. Because when their skin is irritation-free, it really does make for a happier bub! Anyone who’s had to deal with nappy rash (me included!) knows it’s an inescapable mum truth.

Having skin irritation as an adult is super distracting and annoying. So just imagine what that’s like for our teeny babies and toddlers, who need to focus on sleep, eat and play. No wonder they can be so upset when they have nappy rash.

One thing you do need to ditch when it comes to nappy rash is mum guilt. It happens despite our best efforts. But it is helpful if you can get ahead of the game by doing as much as you can to try and prevent nappy rash in the first place.

We asked our hundreds of thousands of Mouths of Mums members for their tried-and-true, trusted nappy rash tips, and their responses came down to four key tips. So if you’re about to have your first baby, or your fifth, it’s worth popping on the kettle and reading through what’s helped other mums.

Fail-Safe Nappy Rash Tips From Mums

What we love about these tips is they’re perfect for mums and expecting mums, and they’re really simple to do. Everything from what to use and what to steer clear of, to helpful hints on caring for delicate baby skin.

1. Nappy Free Time

“As much free nappy time as possible. Lay baby on a blanket covered with a towel on the floor, without a nappy on, if possible in front of a warm sunny window.” – Joanne W.

We love nappy free time for newborn and toddlers (although it’s a lot harder to get them to stay in one place!). And while nappy free time is one of the most popular nappy rash tips among our mums, using the right nappy also plays a huge part in protecting against irritation on your baby’s skin. For example, Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants have clever Rapid-Dry™ Technology, which instantly absorbs for drier skin. And they’re perfect for day and night, with up to 12 hours of leakage protection.

2. Change Nappies Frequently

“For me, what worked on my two kids is not leaving them in soiled nappies too long. I definitely changed as soon as they were wet and let their skin air dry before placing a new nappy on. I would rather go through more nappies than have to deal with the uncomfortable rash they would feel.” – MoM Member

Frequent nappy changes are a fail-safe way to keep moisture, but it’s not always practical (babies just love to fill their nappies while you’re out and about!) Huggies Newborn Nappies are designed to help protect a baby’s delicate skin with a zinc-enriched layer*, clinically proven to help protect against skin irritation.

3. Use A Barrier Cream

“My mum put me onto Zinc and Caster Oil cream. It is FABULOUS stuff! It’s very thick and sticks like you know what to a blanket hehe I tried literally everything and this was the only stuff that helped.” – Trudes

Using a barrier cream was another really popular tip from our mums. But did you know that Huggies Newborn Nappies are the only nappy with a zinc enriched layer. The zinc oxide in Huggies Newborn Nappies is the same ingredient found in many nappy rash creams, which helps to protect against irritation with visibly less redness on skin. They’re also endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives and the number one choice in Australian hospitals.

4. Choose Gentle

“Don’t use scented wipes. Flannel and warm water is the best.” – Justine F

Using the most natural product possible for wiping a baby’s delicate skin to prevent irritation is a tip that’s been passed down from generation to generation – and it’s still a great one. But something lots of mums don’t consider that a nappy itself can help protect against skin irritation. Huggies Newborn Nappies are clinically proven* to help protect against skin irritation while Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants keep up with wriggly little ones while providing superior dryness, making them perfect for active toddlers.

Nappy Rash Myths & Facts

🚫 Myth: Nappy rash is only caused by wet nappies.
✅ Fact: It’s true that moisture does play a role in nappy rash, it can also be caused by moisture friction, bacteria, and even what the nappy is made from.

It’s why choosing a nappy that’s specifically designed for skin protection is really important.

🚫 Myth: Cloth nappies are better at preventing nappy rash than disposable nappies.
✅ Fact: When it comes to nappy rash, there’s not really any need to compare cloth and disposable nappies, because it’s all about keeping baby dry. The longer baby can stay dry, the better.

Huggies’ Rapid-Dry™ Technology absorbs wetness instantly, reducing irritation risk.

🚫 Myth: Nappy rash creams are the only way to protect against irritation.
✅ Fact: A good nappy with a zinc enriched layer can also help to protect against irritation.

  • My first born had terrible nappy rash and ulcers from acid urine and none of the specialists prescription creams did anything. I finally used Petroleum Jelly and it cleared up his skin very quickly and kept future rashes at bay. It is cheap and easy to use and works the best of anything.

  • Any redness can be resolved with a tub of Sudocrem. It’s a cream that smells like lavender. Very pleasant and usually works quickly within the first application.

Take it with you everywhere. It helps poo nappy changes. Just apply on bottom area to prevent future nappy rash. Your baby will be happy with it on. It doesn’t feel cold like a wet wipe.

  • I had issues with my son pooping a lot as a newborn. Sometimes it can be really hard to keep the rash at bay if you have a child that is constantly doing that. There is some acidity in the excrement and that can cause burning before it’s even been against their skin for long. I used to use paw paw cream on him and that worked best as a barrier.

  • I did find that not all nappy rash creams are as good as each other. After trialing many brands I settled on Sudocrem as the best for me and my baby. Changing nappies frequently and air time is also very important.

  • This article describes very much what we always have done: frequent nappy changes, plenty of bare bum time, no fragrances also not in soaps and a good nappy rash cream. It can become more challenging when your child has diarrhea; in which case bare bum time becomes more complex and the skin more irritated in which the gentle washing with warm water, patting dry with a soft cotton flannel and good zinc cream is more important

  • Even though I agree that prevention is key, I also think it’s important to have a good barrier cream to hand to help at the first signs of trouble. There are lots of good brands, you can pick any really that suits your baby’s skin. But use it liberally when you need it!

  • Yay! First time seeing my own comment in an article! *happy dance*
But yes, i do swear by changing their nappies as soon as it’s soiled. It’s what worked for us for both children! We always go prepared and change either before going out, during or in the car boot if we really had to

  • Nappy rash is horrible and prevention is definately better than cure. This is a fantastic article with some great tips. Especially the changing of the nappy frequently. Unfortunately sometimes especially once they’re on solids and their poops get yucky a little nappy rash can be unavoidable in which case a small amount of sudocreme clears it up quickly.

    Reply

  • We found that changing nappies frequently was key for us. And once the kids starting sleeping for long periods at night, we started using the really good quality nappies – Huggies, as it happens – while cheaper nappies were still okay for the day and frequent changes. Nappies do vary! .

  • This is a really great reminder that nappy rash can happen but there are some great tips to help try and avoid it. I use to do a lot of nappy free time with my daughter when we were home as she had sensitive skin and I layered the barrier cream on all the time, especially at night.
