At just 10-years-old Sydney schoolgirl Pixie Curtis has amassed an enviable fortune – so much so that her mum Roxy Jacenko says she can retired at 15, if she wants.
With the help of her uber hardworking and successful mum, Pixie started up her own business, selling fidget toys in May. Pixie’s Fidgets, which isn’t the schoolgirl’s only business, was so successful that it sold out of toys in the first 48 hours and generated more than $200,000 in its first month.
Roxy started up Pixie’s other business, Pixie’s Bows, when her daughter was still a baby. “What is the most exciting thing for me is the entrepreneurial spirit that she has at such a young age. I never had it, although it was drummed into me that I had to succeed,” Roxy told Stellar.
“When I was 14, I got a job at McDonald’s because that’s what you did back in my day. So, I guess to me the biggest thing is her drive as an entrepreneur. Yes, I’ve enabled it, but she’s still got it, which is for me the most rewarding part.” Both of Pixie’s businesses are under the umbrella of Pixie’s Pix, which sells toys, activities, fidget, slime, games and gifts. Pixie is also very active on social media, with almost 90,000 followers on her personal Instagram account. It’s estimated Pixie’s business will earn $21 million over the next 10 years. “You won’t need to worry; you can retire at 15 the way you’re going,” Roxy told her daughter during the interview.
Roxy and Pixie made headlines earlier this year, when the PR mogul apparently ‘gifted’ her daughter a $250,000 Mercedes-Benz GL.
