Pixie Curtis, daughter of PR guru Roxy Jacenko, has been gifted a brand new Mercedes Benz valued at just over $250,000 by her mum. The 9-year-old isn’t old enough to drive it, but is excited about the new 7-seater.

While her age hasn’t quite yet reached double digits, Pixie Curtis is already a successful businesswoman with her Pixie’s Bows and now her fidget business she launched earlier this year. So how does one celebrate that success? Not with ice creams and a pizza dinner, but with a brand new luxury car.

Pixie Curtis shared on her Instagram, “This was such a surprise !! Mum told us to come to the front of the house – we thought there was a trampoline delivery – it was a new car ????!!!!!!! We told her we needed 7 seats we didn’t think she would actually organise it!!”

Want a tour of Pixie’s brand new car? Of course you do! Here goes…

“Then there’s back BACK sets in the boot so like if we have friends we can put those seats up,” Pixie shared excitedly.

She then shared a tour of the outside of the car, slipping, “There’s mum in her car, I mean my car!”

One follower, @coffee_and_v wasn’t as excited as the 9-year-old commenting, “If this isn’t insensitive and tone-deaf, I don’t know what is.”

Another commented, “All I’m saying is I hope I’m around when Pixie turns 16 to see what she’s up to …… I sincerely hope she’s a polite and humble human and not the opposite if this sort of stuff is happening at the age of 9.”

Many other commenters were excited for Pixie and her new car, sharing the congrats and wishing her well.

What’s the best gift you received as a kid? Do you think a car is appropriate for a 9-year-old?

  • This is a bit too much, but every parent for themselves I guess!

  • I guess she has the money for it but personally I think it’s excessive.

  • Why would you buy a 9 year old a car? It’s probably because her daughter suggested they needed a bigger car and Mum thought she’d say it was her daughter’s. Her daughter won’t be able to drive it for 7-8 years so it’s no use to her. It can’t be insured or registered in her daughter’s name either. Hope Pixie doesn’t turn into a spoilt brat.

  • Pretty sure I can think of lots of other, child friendly, age appropriate gifts she could have bought for her daughter. Having said that, the kids probably have all that and more already

  • A most inappropriate gift for a nine-year-old, a bike would have been better!

  • Perhaps the accountant was suggesting some money needed to be spent! This just seems absolutely ridiculous, flashy, and showy. But Roxy does what Roxy wants for her children. Not sure why you need to post it though.

  • I don’t know.. I hardly consider the car belongs to the child lol.

  • Oh my but who is the Car really for

  • Pixie…Roxy…who?? Not another Mercedes driver ????
Material things aren’t the bees knees to happiness!

    • So true, quality time & love is the best we can give our children !

  • She said she needed a seven seater, so best of luck to their family.

  • Oh my gosh… more money than brains, I think!
Her company Sweaty Betty doesn’t have the best organisation skills either so I wonder how it makes any money half the time. They so call organise food bloggers to attend venues at a certain date and time but when they show up, the venue has no idea?!
Seems to match how she rolls too as this really isn’t a gift her daughter can even utilise.

  • I’ve never heard the name before. But wow

  • A bike was a favourite gift. A bike provided hours of fun and exercise.

    • A bike is an age appropriate gift for a child too.

  • Clearly the car is the mums …by the time the kid is old.enough to drive it they would have got anotjer one anyway with that sort.of money in the bank

  • I’ve never heard of Roxy Jacenko, but sounds she has some money

    • Personally I don’t think a car is the best investment and it will be a while before her daughter can drive the car.
