Do you know how to help a choking baby?

Research conducted by St John Ambulance in the UK revealed that over 40% of parents have witnessed their own baby choke, and that four fifths didn’t know how to help their child.

But thanks to The Chokeables, the new video released by St John Ambulance, you can learn how to give first aid to a choking baby in just 40 seconds.

Check out the video below, and be sure to SHARE this with family and friends…

  • When I was pregnant I went to a first aid course at St John Ambulance and it was very helpful when my baby chocked and I knew what to do. I really recommend for all parents.

  • I know they say not to turn kids upside down but thats what I did with all 3 of mine when they were choking. Id turn them upside down and bang on their backs….it always worked for me. Perhaps I was just lucky.

  • Can I add in that whilst someone is doing this manoeuvre that someone else should already be on the phone to the ambulance if there’s 2 people present. Every second counts!

  • ya know i took a first aid course through work and then did a refresher course when i got pregnant. it is so helpful to get the knowledge and to have an idea of what to do. i think that all mothers and fathers, carers, should have to take a first aid course. instead of panic at the situation, you can help
