A case of the Man Flu

Why is it that when my daughters catch a common cold it’s over and done with, within a few days. If I have a cold, there is no chance to stop and rest, I have no choice to soldier on, continue with school and kinder drop offs and pickups, and after school sports and swimming classes. Yet if my son or husband have a cold, the whole world stops; work stops, school stops, they hibernate on the couch, shouting out commands, making requests, constantly letting me know how awful they feel. Why is it that the Man cold is so much more severe than the common cold us Females catch?

Because when it comes right down to it, males are as weak as water, big sooky la la’s that have to make an absolute drama out of nothing. I loathe it when hubby gets the ‘man’ flu or any other ailment, it’s like he’s the only person in the world that has experienced it.

I have to still cook, clean, fetch and wash when I have the flu. Men pfftt!!
