I had a very good laugh with my darling husband the other day. We had had some unexpected bills come in and we were discussing how we were going to manage our cash flow for the month. I remarked that it was going to be tough to ‘make ends meet’ and my husband was curious as to why. I explained about the expenses being more than our pay etc when a sheepish smile spread across his face. He had always thought the saying ‘to make ends meet’ was actually a recipe, meet meaning meat! What a funny moment, it really made my day!
