what do other mums think of the whole Adam Goodes story?
Me personally I don’t think it’s racially motivated. If it were, why aren’t all the other Indigenous AFL players get booed? There’s a lot of booing in general at AFL games, it is worse for Goodesy though. So while I think it’s not racial, I do think it’s stupid and that it needs to stop. Adam Goodes is a brilliant player, a legend of the game and should be treated as such. So stop the booing and let everyone get on with the game

Booing is poor form. The Hawks got booed the whole game last week against Freo. I’ve watched a match there (and lots in Melbourne and Tassie) and I think the crowds in the West are the worst for it. There was also hissing! WTF? It’s not OK anywhere to anyone.

Booing is poor form and does not show good sportsmanship. It is impossible to know what motivates people to boo. There needs to be a culture change around sport.

I agree. I don’t think it’s because of race. I think because people don’t like his behaviour. Other players are boo’d when going for goal. There are other races in the league that don’t get boo’d.

As I’ve said before, I’d like to see better sportsmanship overall.

I think its just not so much raciasm but it is because he is a great player and people do it to get under his skin as they know it will work. People should grow the heck up and know that as he may feel it is racism that it needs to be stopped been directed at him. Its not good for a person mental health to be picked on in this way.

No way is it racism based. It’s just something the media has got hold of, blown out of proportion…..and so it keeps going!
