Lay by is a good way to go as long as you need something.

The layby system is awesome for the christmas laybys. It’s a shame that Kmart no longer offer it

I always buy things during sales, with specific people in mind for birthdays and Christmas. If I see something and think “Oh that’d be good for little Sophie for Xmas”, etc. I pay cash if it’s cheap enough, or layby it. But I’m really strict with myself and don’t buy things simply because they’re on sale, even if I can’t afford them. I have a big cupboard that’s where I keep all the things I buy for gifts, so that if I forget someone’s birthday, there’s always something in the cupboard I could give them, and it means Xmas isn’t so expensive.

It’s definitely very convenient, but I find the best way for me is to work out how much I want to spend, and save the money over the duration of the year. That way; the toys are discounted, I can leave just $5 to pay off and leave the toys in the store – and the best part is that I take only what I have.. so there is no way for me to break my budget!

Kids crying near shops is also going to be a common sight.

I agree the online layby is awesome, I hat the crowds and the long wait at the layby line. I dont know about you but where I live the delivery fee is totally insane.
