Hello!

A friend of mine told me a great way to get people to engage in conversation instead of having their faces buried in their mobile phones. She simply tells people that Mobile phones are like Penises, they should not be taken out at the table! Feel free to use this saying and you can change the word ‘table’ to suit your situation….. Mobile phones are like Penises, they should not be taken out during coffee … in a hospital … in the cinema. It works so well that you will probably only have to say it once!

Sorry for using the P word :)

  • Ha ha ha ha that is brilliant. Mobile phone usage is over used. People are so rude. Walking and talking, at dinner tables. I can’t stand it

  • Nice one. Mobile phones do tend to make us rather anti social!

  • great idea! So many people are glued to their phones all day long they would have no idea what was going on around them!

  • Lol thank goodness for friends like that! I’m very much anti the use of mobile phones during social gatherings, cinemas etc. So much so that friends cram in all their ‘must do’ post, pics etc before our catch ups. I know mobiles phones have there pros but they also have there place and that’s what too many people forget. I mean when you only get to catch up with each-other face to face monthly I really want that, not some partly paying attention conversation as one has their face glued to the screen.

  • I’m not offended, but this seems not to address the base problem.

    • Yes but it does get the phones put away rather quickly!

  • Thats a good one when you go out for a meal with friends its amazing to see everyone at least get one message or call during the meal. Take me back 10 years when the phone didnt rule everyone world for a peacful meal anyday.

    • Phones just need to go in bags when you go out. The people you are with are more important than someone on the other end of the phone. It is about RESPECT! :) I agree with you-good food and good conversation and NO phones!
