Hello!

I’ll be honest, I am not a mum and I plan on never becoming a mum as I know for me it isn’t the right path. I do however have 2 nephews currently and another nibling (surprise gender) due in September, and I can proudly say that I would do anything for those kids. It’s not because I don’t like kids that I don’t want to be a mum, I genuinely enjoy kids company and am a volunteer netball coach for ages 5-17, but I feel so much judgement from people when they find out my intention of never being a parent, as though I am some monster who is going to kick a kid or something horrible, but I do my very best to learn as much as I can about children’s development stages and check with my siblings and friends how they’d like me to treat their children, I do not want to step on any toes or cause any trauma to the kids, so parenting skills is something I try to stay across so I can help my friends and family who are parents if they ever need my help.

Is this wrong? Should I be less involved in their lives because I don’t have and will never have kids?
