Hello!

I’ve noticed a few stories on here lately about breastfeeding and how hard it is and while I know for some people it is I just wanted to balance them with a positive breastfeeding story. For some people, me included breastfeeding is easy, so if you are pregnant and planning to breastfeed don’t freak out it could be easy for you too. Both of my girls fed shortly after birth and than exclusively for six months with no problems. Solids were introduced at six months and they continued to breastfeed as well, my eldest until fourteen and a half months and my youngest until twentythree months. I don’t want to diminish anyone else’s experience, I just want to say that not all breastfeeding experiences are bad, some are good and all should be heard. I know people don’t often want to hear that you had no problems especially when they did so I don’t normally speak about breastfeeding. People seem to think that because I had it easy that I will judge them if they didn’t so let me just say I don’t care whether you breast or bottle feed/fed. I just wanted to say that I chose to breastfeed and for me there were no problems.

  • Well good for you but please be mindful that there are mums out there who really want to choose to breastfeed but are facing difficulties and pain that they didn’t ask for. Me myself is breastfeeding with no problems and is enjoying it very much but I have seen mums who are in tear because they really want to breastfeed but just couldn’t. They didn’t choose that.
