Hello!

We were travelling to Melbourne for a weekend off. The take off went pretty fine and he didnt quite get to know of anything. he enjoyed the flight . But while landing, he cried a lot ..probably because of the piercing sound that babies feel in the ears due to pressure. felt sad that time.
Anything to avoid the pain ?

  • yeah you can breastfeed, give them food or drinks. The swallowing helps pop them.

  • Yep – happens to bubs, kids and adults. Landing often hurts ears. Little ear plugs may help?

  • Give them a drink in their sippy cup or dummy. The sucking motion should help.
We flew when my DS was 6 months and he had a dummy on take off and landing and he was fine. Will have to do the drink when we fly at Xmas as he doesn’t have a dummy anymore.
