Technology is definitely everywhere and kids are across it. Adults need to be to across it as well; to protect kids. Parents/grandparents/carers need to friend their kids on facebook; this is a good rule when they are young. Outline rules for social media; a code; no swearing, bullying, inappropriate pictures, etc. Establishing these rules assists kids with making good and wise choices about content. Also have a frank discussion about social networking and use of technology and your expectations. Always ensure privacy settings on all technology is set on high. Good Luck!
