Hey all.
were in the process of looking for a cheep weddinve venue but have no idea where to start.
Where was some places you all got married? i need some ideas lol. We would have our kids at the wedding and other kids there too. to me i find it wrong to not include your children and also invite people with kids and say you cant bring them. we want it to be a fun filled day :) We live in WA>

  • If using a friend’s back-yard isn’t an option, I’d definitely look at local parks and community centres. We used a big park )attached to a local community centre) that had lots of trees, a kids play-ground, and it was the most fun & relaxing day for everyone. And it didn’t cost an arm & a leg either.

  • Garden or park in your local area.

  • I would be looking around at the local parks, seeing what settings they have

  • Botanic gardens, community halls, just ring around and ask the question.. Friends properties ..
Depends on what time of year as well, so you don’t risk getting rained out.

  • if it has already been and gone hope your day went fantastic if not try doing internet searches My self and my daughter both had garden weddings as all you have to do is contact your council and book your day and it is free, I have been to one that after the ceremony they went back to a friends house high set so they had under the house as well as at side and they did a BBQ and that was enjoyable and it was also child friendly

  • Wedding is never cheap. Seek advise from wedding planner if they are able to suggest for free or perhaps start researching and plan it your own…. it’s tough but saving every dollar counts if you are willing so sacrifice :) Good luck!

  • good luck with your wedding planning. These days i think the best way to save is to have a Friday or a Sunday wedding (and with kids most people won’t have super late nights anyway).

  • A small wedding on a rented boat with only close family and frens?

  • Totally agree. this is my post, im not really into the whole dress up and waist money on a huge dress that will only get worn once. unfortunatly we dont know anyone with a huge back yard but hoping to find someone haha. Totally agree, having a relaxed atmosphere where the children can play and not have to worry about being quiet. i want it to be fun and not up tight if you know what i mean. THank you for replying :)

  • We eloped! Do you have any friends with a lovely big backyard? It would keep costs down and would be suitable for children. I have been to some lovely weddings in backyards with hired tables, chairs etc, and it can be as casual or as formal as you like. Personally, i think a lovely, relaxed wedding where kids play happily is much more fun and less stressful than a formal wedding.
