Chickens at home? - Real Mum story on MoM

Hello!

My family would really love chickens. I remember at home we had them as kids. When talking with others, I have been told to get soil tested as there could be a build up of heavy metals/ chemicals. This thought surprised me and for now I have put the idea on hold. Toxins seem to be everywhere in the modern world.

Not only that, but chickens make a lot of mess. They poo a lot, they scratch up the ground for bugs and dust baths a lot and they tend to eat plants in your garden. The best eggs EVER mind you!

  That may be so, but chicken manure is great for the garden and the removal of bugs is also fantastic!

I would love chickens to. But unfortunately we have foxes in the area. I didn’t know that about getting soil tested
