We were sightseeing in the hills one day and a passenger in a car further up the road threw a butt out the window. The grass and leaves started smouldering so Dad got out and stamped it out, then poured some water we always carried in the boot in case of an emergency. This was before firebugs became an issue at all in this particular area.

And sadly people just dont seem to care these days. Alot of bush fires could be avoided if people actually cared

Sad reality of life – people can be so lazy! Fine if people want to smoke and eventually kill themselves from it but dont endanger the life of others! This kind of stuff ginds my gears beyond belief its easy to butt out a smoke and pop it in the BIN!

some people just don’t think though what they are doing.

  I have seen a lot of people toss butts out of cars too!

lucky for the firies! i saw a similar scene at a local shop, where a young adult had disposed of their cigarette butt in a bin and( not wanting to litter apparently) –but didn’t put the butt out first! luckily some adults jumped in and put the flames out. luckily they saw it. i would’ve helped but was just arriving there with little children, right next to a busy road.

    yes i know! Hopefully they will think twice next time and anybody else there will be vigilant from now on.
