That was very kind of you. I often find with a certain famous hardware store that I have to chase staff down, and the fact that it is such a large store would be hard for an older person.

oh my gosh! i did this once! i was at this store that i think you are referring to and a male was walking around and looked like he was checking things out. so i asked him what the price was of the item and he said that he didn’t work there lol. shirt, pants and belt pretty much matched this stores uniform just no badge or shirt print lol

  LOL! It sounds like you found it funny too! I also tend to smile at people a lot; so maybe people think I work in a particular shop and I am giving them good customer service! This is not the first time this has happened to me! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your story too! 🙂

Staff at a lot of places are good at ignoring people when they don’t want to help.

  The lack of eye contact was obvious; however; it did not deter me! I find it amusing when people do not make eye contact as they can obviously still hear you and have an awareness of you being there. It always makes me more determined!

good on you for helping… customer service does sometimes lapse in places like that
