Cyclone season

After a very slow start to the cyclone season on the West Coast, a cyclone is now developing. I hope that given the high turnover of people in the Pilbara, preparations are done with due care. I also hope that residents both long termers and newbies remain safe. Cyclones can be so very unpredictable and destructive – I will never forget living through the noise and aftermath of cyclones. I hope everyone is safe and prepared. I can’t imagine what it must be like having to live with the threat of a cyclone.

I’ve never experienced a cyclone in my life. It must be so scary. I hope everyone is safe.
