my name is reenee, i have two children elouise who is 3 1/2 and izabella who is 2. izabella was born with a heart condition Tetralogy Of Fallot. at just 3 weeks old she had a shunt operation done and stayed in hospital for 6 days. 4 of the 6 days were in icu and everydayy i knew i had to walk into that room my heart sank. seeing all those children after their operations just made me so sad. knowing my daughter was a little fighter i always knew she would pull through but it was still heartbreaking.

she was very happy after that from getting her first tooth at 6 months to babbling and smiling all the time you wouldnt even know she was sick. at 9 1/2 months she had a cardiac catheter done so they could work out best cause of action for her big open heart surgery. i got to take her down to the catheter room so she could be with me while being put under anesthetic. watching the hurt in her eyes just killed me inside and it stills gets me to this day. just 4 weeks later at 10 1/2 months old izabella went in for her operation and all went extremely well.

after a mere 8 days (which the nurses said was a good recovery time) izabella was allowed home. since then she has gone from strength to strength. walking at 14 months, running around, feeding herself and the list goes on. she truly is a little fighter.

It’s always hard when our kids are sick, much worse when they require hospital visits. So happy to read you all pulled through just fine

Great news !
You have been through a lot, and I hope that sharing your story helped. In a way you are a different and stronger person now because of your little girl’s condition, and the things you have experienced.

What a battle you’ve all had and what a wonderful outcome! My friends had a similar thing happen to them and their little boy just like your little girl was such a fighter.

I am so happy for you that every thing has gone well and every Mum feels their childs pain and your heart sinks and when they give you those sad help me eyes makes it harder but it is all for the best. Well done
