Well today I had to rebuy for one of my Grandsons Easter chocolate as when I bought all my Easter things the chocolates had to go in the freezer due to the length of time it takes us to get home from shopping as we are Rural. As always I rung my Daughter the first time and told her what I bought for him and that I had to pop them in the freezer and I always do big Easters for the kids. Well my Daughter said Mum if there is any white on the chocolate (although it is fine to freeze chocolate) she said his latest thing is to look and say gusting Mum and throws it all in the bin. So today I got the chocolates home and put them in the crisper as well as a toy and some cars for him. My Daughter said she is unsure why he started this as she had herself bought a chocolate the other day one for which he ate and when she got home her’s had melted so she also popped it in the freezer for a bit than go it out put it near her lap top went to the toilet and heard gusting mum in the bin when she came out he had opened her chocolate and thrown it away cause it was gusting lol I find this so funny and had a good laugh and than said oh well now I will have to give the other kids alot more than they were getting.

  • Years ago we took my daughter (she was 5) to England and her nana and pop gave her heaps of chocolate eggs and then couldn’t believe she sat down and ate an apple because she doesn’t really like chocolate. My youngest makes up for it though, its her favourite thing!

  • That is so cute…… my grandkids love their chocolate but I do limit the amount & place a few other bits & pieces we give them in Pa & G’ma’s Easter showbag! They think it is better than going to the show!

  • I had thought of doing that with him but he won’t eat eggs as they have chickens and they are also gusting as he seen on being laid in the yard and said gusting they poo eggies

  • The things children come out with. lol. Maybe you could spend some time with him dying eggs. Colourful, fun and you get to eat them at the end, without the sugar rush.

  • I have done all these in the past as I never do just chocolate. So he has the plates bowels cups and spoon set and many egg cups and such but I always like to get them some chocolate. He is 3 years old and we have no idea why every thing is gusting lol but really I think it is from be his Mum who has said it one to many times when he drops things on the floor…. like no don’t eat that now it’s disgusting throw it in the bin. He comes out with alot of funny things but he is an only child raised in a house with his Mum and Dad and his Great Nanny

  • Not many kids would reject chocolate for any reason.

  • Lol. Kids can be so cute! Maybe you’ll have to buy him treats other than chocolate that might travel better! I don’t think jelly beans will go gusting!

  • your story gave me a giggle… wonder where he has picked that up from. depending on the age they also have some nice sets with cups and bowls or toys :)

    • Yes I quite like the cute little sets you can get. Cars and The Simpsons and a lot of others do these sets. At least if he doesn’t have the chocolate lol, he has a set to keep.
