Hello!

My darling daughter is almost 8 months and today we got to celebrate her first Easter.

It was such a joy to see her face light up with her new books she received.

A lot of people suggested that we give her chocolate, but her daddy and I decided to wait til she is older before she gets to try chocolate. We have her a small bit of a hot cross bun instead. She loved it so much, shoving as much as she could into her mouth and going mmmm mmm

It was so nice to know that she didn’t miss out, yes I know she didn’t get chocolate, but she had a new treat with some of the bun, and she got new books and some clothes, and lots of love from her mummy and daddy, so I think that’s a perfect first Easter for my daughter :-)

  • We always bought our kids minimal chocolate for Easter. We preferred to buy them things that lasted. I know of a woman with 6 kids, living on Centrelink, who spent $100s o Easter eggs. Then proceeded to tell everyone what a great my she is and her kids don’t go without. It takes more then a bit of chocolate once a year to be a good mum and to show your kids don’t go without….in my eyes anyway

  • A fluffy toy bunny is a gorgeous gift for a first Easter and much nicer than chocolate.

  • Still too young to enjoy chocolate for her. Nice celebrate Easter Day.

  • I agree – there’s no need to push chocolate onto our children at such a young age. What a lovely idea to give her books though.
