Well not exactly a Mum related Story…

My Phone rings!! ME: Hello..

Hi is S***** T*****

ME: Yes it is!

Hi S***** my name is Huey and I’m ringing from OMMI Florida Holidays Agent, how are you today?

Me: Good thank you.

Huey: Fantastic S***** , well i have some great news S***** , you have won a holiday for four people to Florida..for 16 days and 15 nights all flights/ Accommodation and food paid for, isn’t that awesome S*****.

ME: are you serious, this must be a joke.

Huey: yes I’m serious and it’s not a joke..you won a holiday..how do you feel S*****?

ME: I became overwhelmed all of a sudden and couldn’t believe it. WOW REALLY..OMG i can’t believe it..i was jumping for joy a smile as big as a split watermelon..

Huey: So S***** now that we have sorted that you are a winner, there’s a few things we need to clear up, i will take you though the travel details , then we can register you..ok S*****.

ME: Yeah sure.

So anyway as he’s talking me though the details of the holiday and as fast as they talk i still managed to here the words ”TIMESHARE” and we would need to take your ”CREDIT CARD” details..

ME: Mmmmm i thought, Did you say TIMESHARE and why would you need my CREDIT CARD details if i won a holiday?

Huey: spent the rest of his time trying to convince me that he wasn’t a scam..

ME: You can imagine the devastation i felt after realizing who they really were..I entered a competition that stated WIN A HOLIDAY to FLORIDA all expenses paid for..I was so upset by then and i told him how dear they do this to people..get there hopes up and destroy it in seconds. I even imagined telling my family we won a holiday to Florida for 16 days and 15 nights when they got home. But that dream went out the door..how horrible to be put though that..i wouldn’t want this to happen to any one. So the moral of this story is to make you aware of false advertising or misleading information on any given Competition..always read the Rules and Regulations on all Comps no matter what..i certainly have learnt from this and won’t make this mistake a gain.. in fact i have a competition site that is trusted and i go by it..Competitionguide.com.au if anyone is interested in Comps and you can always look up the Australian competition consumers commission site accc.gov.au for misleading comps.

This wasn’t a great upset just disappointing..hasn’t stop me from comps and i must say i won a few things..lots of baby stuff. cheers
