Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone has tried and tested the theory that by rubbing eggshells with vegetable oil before refrigerating will keep the eggs fresher for longer. Apparently it will extend the eggs shelf life by an extra three to four weeks! Is this true? As I’m the only who eats eggs in our family, it can take me awhile to get through a dozen!

  • I don’t know the answer to this one, mainly because for years I have rarely had them in the house, as my son is allergic to them.

  • I’ve never heard of this but it’s probably not necessary in my household. Yes I’ve also heard you can freeze eggs.

  • LOL! Our eggs never last long in the fridge as we have a house full of egg lovers! Interesting question though.
