Hello!

i have had the same shaped eyebrows since I was in high school in the 80s, the good old classical golf club shape. Hubby has started making fun of them so I thought I would attempt a change. Only thing is, they won’t grow back, they’re obviously over plucked. What do I do? How can I change them when they won’t grow back? PS I can’t be bothered with eyebrow pencilling every day

  • yeah a tip is to go a shade or 2 lighter than your hair colour. for eg, you have black hair, don’t use the black pencil, use a dark brown. it is a trick to help you look younger with make-up use. ……

get the brows tatted. it might shock you to see your bare face and dark eyebrows but with make-up on , it is fine. again go to a professional who will make them look more natural.

  • If you find a solution, let me know!! It amazes me going into some shops (ie makeup and hair) these days and I all see is a wall of eyebrows that look like they are drawn on with textas.

  • Well, I’m happy to report, they have mostly grown back. And they don’t look as bad as I was expecting them to look. I’ve just had to pluck a couple of stray ones, other then that, I’m happy

  • Car nt say I blame you with the penciling thing – if you wake up late on a busy day you may not get around to using the pencil! Maybe call the assistance of a trained beauty therapist for suggestions and their gen expertise ( the may have a way of training back to way you want).

  • Try and leave them for a couple of months they should grow back and thicken up then get them threaded rather than plucked or waxed, much better way to keep in a great shape and lasts longer and not as painful either being having mine done for about 12 months and I’d never have them done any other way and they stay healthy also.

  • The new craze is to have them microbladed & feathered which essentially is a semi permanent form of tattooing. Lots of friends are having it done for the very same reason-overplucking. The results are fantastic.

    • I’m a threading enthusiast, but hadn’t heard of this. I’ve often wondered how people can have such beautiful looking brows. Definitely saving this comment to look into.

  • I don’t have any tips either apart from eyebrow pencil

  • You could try getting them tattooed on, if you’re really confident about the shape you want.

    • I have seen this on some people.

      • you would also want to be confident about the right colour(shade) used in the tattoo as well.

  • other then using a pencil I am not sure. Good luck, hope they eventually grow back.

  • I would have suggested eyebrow pencil – otherwise – no other idea.
