Hello!

My mother was a single mother until I was 8 years old.
She then met a man and remarried.
Since that man has been in our lives, our happy family was torn apart.
My brother was kicked out of home, then I was at the age of 15,
I’m now 22 and trying to be able to see my mother, so she can see her grandchildren, but her husband won’t allow it.
Is it really so bad for my mum to be around her children and grandchildren?
It’s not fair on any of us, but she is wrapped around that mans little finger. :(

  • That sounds awful. Grandparents are great when they’re around. I’m sorry your missing out on seeing more of your mum as grandma.

  • Such a shame for you and your family and sad that your mum is not connecting with you and your family.

  • Thats terrible that you can not see your mum, sounds like her partner is controlling her and she has fogotten the person she once was. Just be there for her when she needs you and i hope that you can reconnect with her for the kids sake.

  • This is a difficult situation. I assume your mother is making her own choice.

    • It is difficult when parents make these kinds of choices. :(

  • It’s not bad at all! You all deserve to be able to see your family.
That man needs to realize that he has to accept your mother as well as her children.
