Favourite things - Real Mum story on MoM

So what are you little ones favourite things/places?

My little man who is 3.5 in the past 6 weeks has developed a fondness of a park bench! We walk past about 10 on our way to daycare, but there is one on particular that he has taken a shine too! On the days that he goes to daycare we have to stop as he sits on his “favourite bench”. He the lies down on it and peeks through the wooden slates and loves it if I put my phone underneath and he can see his reflection.
When I asked him “why is this your favourite?” He replied ” it’s my favourite cause it’s interesting!”
So this made me think about his bench. It’s on a side street, it’s under cover and not on the edge of the road like all the others- the street gets traffic from 3 directions and lots of people pass by.
Best of all we spend a couple of minutes at his favourite bench and it makes him happy! How wonderful that something so simple makes him happy !

It’s so lovely that you give him the opportunity to do something that he considers interesting. I’m glad you are not too busy or rushed to have this little bit of fun together. Nice story!

Maybe he is going to grow up and design interesting and odd pieces of furniture. You just never know remember this moment when he chooses his life career.

loved your story and who would think a bench could bring so much joy to a little one but if that is what it does for him fantastic and you get that little extra time with him and his bench
