Finally Here - Real Mum story on MoM

This weekend my girlfriend is getting married. I’m so excited. It’s been a long time coming and a lot of ups and downs. She is that person in my life, were I only have to think of her and I smile. We took very different paths in life but it amazes me how close we still are. We met at a factory lots of years ago she was this sweet little 17 year old and I was 22. We have been through everything, I have seen her struggle and wanted so much to be more than a shoulder to cry on. But sometimes you have to know when to just listen and let people make their own mistakes. I’m so proud of her. She was my bridesmaid nearly ten years ago and tomorrow I will be her’s. I wish her and her family nothing but the best. And I’m certain our friendship has made both of us better people.

Sometimes we need to be good listeners then decide whether your friend is looking to you for a lengthy discussion or not. We all need a sounding block at some point in our lives. Yes, we learn by our mistakes, but hopefully we will never make any that will end in a really bad disaster. That’s when a friend needs to step in sooner rather than when it’s too late

The wedding was fabulous and I got to catch up with heaps of great friends. the bride was beautiful. And my speech went great. I may have had a little to many toasts as the sun was too bright the next day.

A relationship like this is amazing. My best friend has been there for 17 years and although we don’t see each other so often anymore i love her more then anything. She was just my bridesmaid and i cant wait to be hers in the future!
