Hello!

Since leaving High school, I haven’t had much to do with the friends I had made during my time there. Other than keeping in touch through Facebook and the like, we really haven’t had proper catch ups.

2 years ago a good friend and I got in touch through Facebook and found out we were both due to have our babies on the exact date! We kept in contact but didn’t ever meet up or anything, even after we had our babies (Mine came a week early and her’s came a week after EDD).

It wasn’t until our children’s 1st birthdays did we finally meet again and introduced our children to each other. We have held a strong friendship since then and though we are both busy and live so far apart we do try to catch up even now and again.

I so looking forward to seeing her and her daughter next week! She is expecting again, which is just so exciting! I so wish I could have another but with 3 of my own, I think, personally I’d struggle with another but that can’t stop me from going all gaga for other’s babies :)

  • I found out about a primary school reunion via a sign attaced to a brush fence on a main road near the school. I didn’t recognise a lot of people but other students recognised me probably from my distinct hair colour. Thise I did recognise where nearer my younger sister’s age. There was a couple of now very elderly teachers I recognised. The eldest teacher was given the homour of cutting the anniversary cake. Sadly she passed away only a few weeks later. I reckon she would have been one of the most popular teachers who ever taught there. There was a few pupils who still had family in the area chose to come home to the reunion.

  • I had a 20 year reunion on f/book as an old friend found me . It was wonderful and it sounds like you are happy with what you have so enjoy your friendships now .

  • I think we all drift away from those we no longer see regularly. Whether that’s old school friends, old work colleagues or old neighbours when we have to move. I was surprised that so many of my old school friends remember me! I must have made an impression….good or bad I’m unsure :/
