Hello!

Like the rest of you I am a busy mum and read a really interesting quote, which is the title of this story. I thought about it for ages, and although it may seem strange, I realised it really bugged me when I came home to un vacuumed floors.

I had noticed robotic vacuum cleaners in a brochure, so I started to look into it. I found a company that advised me after I had purchased it I could have a full refund if I didnt like it……..so I plunged in and got a iRobot Roomba…….

My boys told me they reckoned it was a gimmick as I am always wanting to try something new……….

But wow, that was the best $800 I have ever spent.
Dont be fooled into buying a cheaper make, there are many good ones on E bay etc.

I would fully advise anyone to get one, as not only does it do a great job it also makes you pick things up of the floor more, which cant be a bad thing…….

With a family of teens I was always ready when they decided to bring home their mates, every bit helps….

Will be interested to see if anyone takes this to heart, because for me,,,,,,I got the better of what was holding me up.

  • I really want to try one of those robots out but hubby keeps telling me its just a gimmick and another thing to add to my ever increasing electrical products.
Maybe if i can get it on a 30 day trail or something like that it will convince him and me

  • I have a lot of trouble vacuuming, following surgery to both my shoulders, and severe arthritis in both hands which necessitates wearing hand splints. But I can’t stand messy floors and carpets, so I grit my teeth and vacuum, and I pay the price afterwards, with days of pain. I wasn’t sure that these robotic vacuum cleaners were all that good, but you’ve definitely changed my mind. Now I now what to ask for, when Christmas comes. Thanks for the review!

  • I have been considering getting one of these!! we have 2 sets of stairs in our house and pregnant with a toddler its so annoying lugging the huge vacuum down in one hand and child in the other then back up the stairs. Like you unvacuumed floors frustrate me. I was looking at the cheapo versions on catch of the day- but after reading this perhaps i’ll talk my husband into the $800 investment!

  • I am glad you have found some thing that helps you it stop the thing that helps you. I think it would get to confused in my house as it would be constantly bumping into something as I have a very old dog that times changes his mind where he is going to lie down and if you walk past he follows you and then he has to find the place he wants again

  • I’m a fan of any labour saving device if it means it creates more time for you and less stress or time thinking about the things that bug you. I did a stint trying not to use my dishwasher, but at the end of the day I hate dishes on the sink.

  • Yeah, I agree with the idea behind this – fix the thing that’s bugging you most!
