My Grandmother was a wonderful women and everyone that met her loved her.She was always happy and cheerful even it times of hardship and illness she would smile and never complain. Her words of wisdom were No matter what went wrong “It’s a mosquitto bite of life .When your my age you would of been through worse .Pull yourself together”She saw the Great Depression,Two World Wars, buried 11 of her 15 children and a husband .More words of Grannies wisdom Always hold onto your husband as if he was a fish you just caught .If you catch a fish and hold it very tightly it slips out of your hands.More words of wisdom from granny Never go to bed on an argument.Never ever take a baby or child out without a hat or bonnett, socks or booties & a singlet on the baby or child.Never let the sun on your childs face.I miss her and I am sure her advice is wise

  • I have lost all my grandparents but loved listening to stories from what I called the ancient times, I learnt so much from my grandparents like how to bake, how to play patience the card game, how to do tapestry, we had a toffee disaster, in fact I got my period at 14 when I was at my grandmas, full of good old fashioned & sensible advice, I miss mine too :)
