I’m a mum just like any other mum struggling to succeed in a business where the males are dominating and have for some years now..yes you guessed it, those wiggly guys. Why are the media not giving other acts a fair go.
Why are the television networks playing the same old, same old over and over again. My show The Jitterbugs is a family business, its catered towards 1-5years but also parents and grandparents love our excitement and interaction with the kids. It’s also so family orientated that the show includes me, the mum as the Sensational Lady Bug- Hug bug and my children Jessie 25years, who hosts the show and plays Jessie the gorgeous butterfly, Jackson 22years who does an amazing job of playing Frankie the Spider with his green fingers and my 15 year old daughter Brielle who plays B.B the boogying bumble bee. The Jitterbugs have been touring Australia now for 18years and we have been working on producing the Green and Groovy show where we will have live worms on stage in our Jitterbug garden with songs about Worms written by Jackson and the environment written by Jessica and a lots of other original songs with Djembe, guitar, harmonica, flute and keyboard all on stage. We are a vey musical family and are looking forward to sharing our organic and very green tips with you and the children. All children get to take a special plant home, planted with loving care from Frankie the Spider (Jackson). We really want to try and get children and parents back to the garden and away from their screens…so
Welcome to The Jitterbugs Garden Live on Stage!
The Jitterbugs bring the garden and its magical world of bugs to the stage for families of all ages.
The Jitterbugs, with their intimate relationship with the Earth, share culture and wisdom of the plants and animals, offering a new way of living that is bright and colourful for our future generations.
At each show the children are asked to bring a flower from their garden and create a flower garden on the stage. After the show, we share plants and seeds for the families to take home with them.
I am trying to get the word out there regarding our exciting show and would love you to join me and my family at one of our concerts around Sydney in the Sept/Oct School Holidays. We don’t have wiggly fingers we have green fingers! Ha!
