Hair pins!!! I hate seeing hair pins especially the brown ones. When I was a child my Mother was a firm believer in having clean ears! Yes, you can see where this is going can’t you? Every few days (well, it might have been once every week or two, but it seemed like days!) Mum would “torment” my little brother and I to have our ears cleaned with a hair pin! We hated it and would do anything to avoid it. She always found some sort of worthwhile bribe that we both folded to and we ended up laying on the lounge floor under a 1970’s orange fluorescent desk light, and the “Inspector” probing for wax with a hair pin! Not a pleasant experience and quite funny now when I think about it especially with all the advice of not to put things in your ears! Don’t get me wrong though my Mother was and is a wonderful Mother who worked her a.. off so she could provide the best life she possible could for us and I really owe her a lot. I just make sure I don’t leave any hair pins laying around when she visits!
