Hello!

My little 6 months bub has been sick recently. She came down with a high fever, coughing bad time and flu. She is so congested with lots and lots of mucus. We went to the doctor twice and I was so paranoid that I convinced myself that she caught herself with whooping cough. I was listening to her cough for almost 3 days and I swear I could hear the whooping sound which is the main symptom for diagnosing whooping cough. The doctor reassured me that since I have had my bub vaccinated, it is highly unlikely that she has whooping cough..He thinks she has the common cold…

I stayed up for almost 4 nights now just to watch her breathing and soothe her. I now understand how anxious and scary it is for a parent to see their little one unwell :(

  • Coughing and congestion can be so horrible for little ones. I have 3 out of 4 daughters with asthma and my youngest is constantly coughing and wheezing no matter how much medication she is given. We have seen numerous doctors and specialists, even had allergy testing done but results were all clear. Very confusing. It can be very scary. Hope your little one gets better soon.
