I used to think ideas a good judge of character. I used to think I was the type of person who didn’t let people treat me bad, ignore me or use me. If they did, I shut them out of my life pretty quick. Now….I think what I’m doing is self preservation, looking out fir myself. I think I actually drive people away and shut them out of my life before they do it to me. I don’t even know if they would do it to me, but I still do what I do. I have contact with none of my siblings, was the same with my dad, now I think I’m doing it to my children. I need to learn how to stop before I’m left with no one. Then again, that wouldn’t be do bad…..HELP!

  • You could get your GP to send you to a psychologist or counselor. This way you would be actively trying to do something to improve your situation. There is always hope! :-)


  • See a professional – a psychologist should be able to help.
