I feel sorry for my niece

Sorry for the double up but I got logged out of my computer when I submitted my story.

My niece visited us a couple of days ago asking for advise, she has been trying for a baby for many years now and she went and got dye through her tubes only to find out that both were blocked. The only option she that is available for her to have a baby is through IVF. She is madly trying to save her pennies so she can afford to go through IVF to have a baby.

She came to us for help as her mum and grandma both say that it was easy for them to fall pregnant and they didn’t need any help at all. Where as she knows that both my husband and I have had many troubles falling pregnant and keeping them.

She said that she will be having lots of injections and doesn’t want herself to give her the injections and because my husband was a nurse and I had to give injections to myself when I was trying to fall pregnant and being pregnant, we are happy to help in that situation to give her injections that she needs.

Our children were from Clomid as my body doesn’t ovulate so I know where she is coming from and its good that my husband and myself can give advise to our niece and help where ever possible.

I hope that in time she will be able to fall pregnant using IVF and carries on to have a healthy baby or babies.

Good Luck Niece and we will be with you every step of the way.

  • I wish your niece the best of luck through her treatments and hope that she gets a happy healthy baby. One of my school friends has just had baby number 3 through IVF so I know that it does work!

  • I am on the Clomid now and doesn’t seem to be working so looks like IVF might be in our radar soon too. it is all so heartbreaking sometimes…

  • ivf is expensive. but most of it is covered by the medicare safety net meaning anything over $1000 you spend in one year you will get back. Its a lot of stuffing around but in the end its worth it. You pay in full them medicare will send you a chq
