A few weeks ago I bought some face paints. I bought them because last year I was planning on hiring a face painter for my oldest daughters 4th birthday. But the cost of having someone come paint the kids face for 2 hours was out of my budget.

So now I’ve taken it up myself to learn. I do not have any formal training or anything like that. I have just been painting from what I have seen been painted on my kids faces and what comes naturally to me.

I must admit that I am surprised how much I enjoy practicing on my kids and my own arm. I feel as though this is my calling and I have been gaining a real passion for face painting this past week.

Posted below is a (half face) butterfly. I’ve also painted unicorns, tigers, dragons, t-rex, spriders, flowers and the list goes on.
