Ive been suffering with acne since i was young. I always got told it was because i did not scrub properly. I did not rinse off the soap. Then i did not use enough face cleanser. Its amazing what people say when your condition is extreme. You know you have it but feel embarrassed as you know people are looking at it all the time. Especially when they say something i go red. It makes me angry. I have a condition called acne inversa which ive never heard of before.

  • I never expected to gave acne for 35 years. Used Roaccutane when I was 18. It worked til I had a baby at 23, then it slowly crept back. Tried it again 2 years ago. Worked again, no more plans for anymore babies, so I thought this would be it. I notice it creeping back again, slowly. It’s been nearly 2 years and the spots are returning. Ah well, if it gets bad, it back for more Roaccutane. I am so over having acne!!!

  • I don’t know if this will work but the clear range from Nutrimetics helped my daughter and good because its a number system so she knows what she is doing and gets her in a skin wash routine.

  • I ended up seeing a skin specialist who was a lot better at explain and helping than others who seemed to think they knew all about it. Hoping now that you know what it is you can treat it.

    • Thankyou. Yes they are treating it and its still sore but i can lay on it. It must be healing

  • Often people do not understand because they do not have knowledge on a particular subject. People then tend to make ‘sweeping’ statements; which can be hurtful when younger. Most teenagers are self conscious without the added comments and peer pressure. I hope as an adult you have been able to get some support with this condition. I have a friend who has been able to get support and treatment via a GP.

    • Yes at last given a high dose of antibiotics. Hopefully that will help. On day two. Got to take them for ten days. Ninety tablets
