Last week I posted a story about how I was not coping being a mum. Thank you to the mums who left wonderful kind comments, it’s amazing how kind people can be when they don’t even know you. I decided to speak to my husband and family and ask for help. We are now sharing the responsibilities a bit more with the kids and trying to give each of us some “me” time. I have also started going on walks also by myself and it’s amazing what some fresh air can do!! The main thing is that IT IS OKAY TO ASK FOR HELP. After I wrote my story I felt like this weight had been lifted off my shoulders, getting everything out in the open instead of bottling it all up! My baby is now sleeping through the night, my husband is giving me some “me” time, I am exercising and getting fresh air and I feel so much better already (probably mostly because I am now getting sleep!!) I was playing with my two year old daughter and she was being bossy and I just laughed and thought to myself “how lucky am I? What beautiful daughters I have and how happy she is even though I felt like I was not doing a good job…I actually was!” She is happy healthy smart “naughty” and loving and so so kind. It also reminded me how much I love my husband, he may not have picked up how sad I was but he was there for me when I asked for help JUST LIKE THAT! I hope if anyone else ever feels the way I did that I can help them the way he helped me, and the kind words from strangers in this site did too. Thank you to you beautiful mummies xxxxx

  • Its amazing how some support or encouragement can help a person. So glad you are getting a little me time and the hubby is been more hands on.
