All kids do their thing in their own time.

DD didn’t walk until 14 months old, I had mostly the same comments from people you are getting – I just let it all wash over me.

Don’t worry about it mine did walk around 12 months but there was others in my mums group that where 18 months they are all different. Just think while shes not walking shes not into EVERYTHING lol

My girl walked at 10 months & people said why? My boys were later with one walking at14 months, the other 16. I wouldn’t get upset about it if I were you, smile & say in a confident voice she’s obviously not ready or something similar 🙂

Don’t worry about what other people think, she’ll walk when she’s ready. Every child is different and special.

Don’t worry about it. Both my daughters didn’t walk til 14 months. They are perfectly fine, and just took ages to walk. They were both verbal early though so your little girl will walk soon when she’s ready.

So very true everyone was comparing my daughter to my son my son did everything early my daughter is taking her time I don’t mind at all I have my darling daughter who is staying my baby alittle longer I know she will do it when she is ready. Hold your head high and stick to your guns

You sound like you have the right attitude. I wish people would butt out of things that aren’t their concern. Chin up! You don’t have to justify anything. As you said, she will walk when she’s ready. One of my sons walked at 14 months, he just wasn’t really interested.

the harsh reality is most mums are constantly in competition with eachother. it is so ridiculous. children do things at their own pace. yes you can encourage them but rome wasn’t built in a day 🙂

my sister didn’t walk til she was 18 month old, her daughter was 15 months old, as long as she’s happy and healthy i wouldn’t worry

I hate the feeling that we should be justifing our child’s development to a complete stranger! I have always said the same – she will do it in her own time!

Every child is different! I hate that people are questioning you on your child! Some children don’t walk until nearly two years and they will do it when THEY are ready and want to! Chin up and tell them to mind their own business xx
