Hello!

My 9 year old has quite large feet. I used to notice it a lot when other kids came to play and their shoe sizes were quite a few sizes smaller that my child’s. Her shoes are now the same size as my sisters and my mums. The really funny thing is that she is offering to “hand her shoes” down to my sister as she grows out of them! Very cute and a little odd all at the same time!

  • That’s true. But sometimes having big feet is a big problem. In particular if you are a girl. I have one niece in Holland that at 12 years of age was wearing size 43!!! She couldn’t buy any kids shoe anymore. But at the same time she had difficulties with the women shoes, because most of them were not appropriate for kids. With sport shoes it was different luckily.

  • My son is a size 10 and only 15. The best thing about this is that you will always find bigger sizes on sale every time !

  • Everyone is different! It depends a bit on the brand, too.

  • Yep – some kids have big feet and some small. Hope she always finds shoes she likes as she grows.

My daughter is 13 and she wears my shoe size at the moment.

    • Watch out your shoes don’t start “walking”. At least you will know where they are. I’ll be glad when the pointy shoes go out of fashion as I have wide feet and they will simply not fit my feet. I can’t even get my feet into the toe end at all. I tried a pair on a few days ago and not even the soles are wide enough/
Runners I buy Mens. Now I want sandals and will probably have to buy mens’ as runners will be too hot in Darwin and Ord River area even in Winter. I discovered that last time I went there.ggrrr!!!

  • Sharing is quite a good thing really – especially with how fast kids grow.
